My Story

I’m Ross, father, friend, and technology professional with 25+ years of experience

Who I Am

Just in case you’re interested…

Background… I’m from North Dallas, Texas born and bred; I lived nowhere else (traveled all over the world, but always lived in Dallas)…

I have two sons with disabilities, one with autism (stepson) one with autism and down syndrome (my son), and a neuro-typical daughter (married, lives in Seattle with her fantastic partner).

I spent 25+ years in Technology Leadership; I started out life as a software engineer designing functional test systems, and spent the last 20+ years of my career as a Chief Information Officer, Director, and Vice President of Technology Services.

I have a few “fire breathing” drivers (“The burning why’s” as Viktor Frankl puts it)… I believe this with every strand of DNA…

I believe small hyper-local small business IS THE BACKBONE of the GLOBAL economy… and they need the MOST help… we all know friends who are struggling small business owners that we want to help just because… I do.

I have an enormous heart for people with Intellectual and developmental differences; I do a considerable amount of work with adult transition and supported housing for people with IDD.

I LOVE doing volunteer work, my wife and I have in the past and do serve of several non-profit boards.

I’m a bass player and guitar builder, I build guitars and donate them to charity.

Optimizing Businesses of Every Kind, Every Size. Are You Next?

What I Do

I help hyper-local small businesses remove the most common challenges, bottlenecks, and setbacks limiting their growth.

Here’s a fact, as much hands-off as “systems” (and I don’t mean computers); have become, do you really have the time and resources to figure out the “how” to make it all work together? Or maybe you just don’t care? Ok, but read on.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Am I spending all of my time putting out fires, dealing with paperwork, thinking to yourself “I don’t have the time to… (insert here whatever you should do to grow your business)?”

  • Am I working 12+ hour days dealing with the “stuff” of the business AS much as hustling for NEW PAYING customers?

  • Am I struggling to scale my business and all I’m doing is adding MORE work?

  • Am I struggling to GET FOUND by NEW CUSTOMERS and ‘word of mouth’ and referrals are only getting you so far?

  • The last time I updated my website was… I don’t remember? AND Ugh, the thought of going through that effort makes me queasy?

Here are TWO realities with working and doing business in the age of the 21st-century internet:

  • Your website… your website is the front door, IT IS how you will continue to operate… your website is how your customers find you and, like it or not, it is the face of you. Period.

  • Your “operations”… Your “operations” IS THE ENGINE that makes you money, it is what allows you to sell, deliver, and GROW your business. Period.

If you are not paying attention to your internet presence and being found, you will not get new customers, no new customers, no new business… you know the rest.

If you continue to run your operations on Big Chief tablets and Crayons, you won’t be able to deliver to your customers and grow your business, or you’ll continue to work 12+ hour days on the activities just to deliver to your existing customers… no new customers, no new business… you know the rest.

That’s where I come in… I address the need for small hyper-local businesses to understand the challenges; then plan and implement solutions of digital transformation in the 21st century.

I provide full-service digital marketing, web design, hosting, SEO services, process re-engineering, operational excellence, road mapping, and technology advisory.

I have over 25+ years of hands-on real-world experience; growing, scaling, multimillion dollar multinational businesses, public and private, in multiple vertical markets.

And I bring that experience, network, and considerable resources to small business.

“Yeah, ok, but I can do that all myself.” Sure you can, no question… Just like you can do your bookkeeping yourself. Just like you can do the finish out on your house or office yourself.

Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Just because you can, doesn’t mean that’s the best use of YOUR resources to CLOSE NEW PAYING BUSINESS and to operate, grow and scale your business.

Ask yourself, “If I am doing those things, (SEO, website, bookkeeping, etc.) am I getting and CLOSING NEW BUSINESS, or am I adding another couple of hours to my day to figure out how to make it all work?”

You decide.
